Which country has the best solar potential in Europe?
Spain and Portugal, at ~1,600 kWh/kWp/year, followed by southern Italy and France. Germany, despite less sun (~950), remains a huge market thanks to incentives.
What is the best solar panel brand?
LONGi, JinkoSolar, Trina, JA Solar and Q CELLS dominate with 22–23% efficiencies. SunPower (Maxeon) and REC are premium. For residential, a good TOPCon module from a top brand with 25-year warranty is enough.
How many panels for 5 kWp?
With 400 W panels you need 13 (5,000 ÷ 400). With 500 W panels, only 10.
Is my roof suitable for solar?
Ideally south-facing with little shade and ~10–15 m² per kWp. East-west works too, spreading production across the day.
Do panels work in cloudy weather?
Yes, at 10–25% of full power in diffuse light. Average annual production already accounts for your climate.
What return can I expect?
