A/C clutch relay (P0645) — a classic Renault fault affecting air conditioning on Clio and Mégane.

Fuel pressure too low (P0087) — fuel pump wear, especially on diesel models.

What is P0645 on a Renault?

It is a fault in the A/C clutch relay control circuit — often a failing relay or wiring, causing the air conditioning to stop. Testing the relay usually confirms it.

Why does my Renault show P0087?

Low fuel rail pressure points to the fuel pump, pressure regulator, or a clogged filter. Check fuel pressure before replacing parts.

Is a misfire code serious?

Misfires can damage the catalytic converter if ignored. Start with ignition coils and spark plugs, the most common cause on Renault petrol engines.

Can I read Renault codes with a phone?

Yes, with an ELM327 adapter and an app. It reads engine codes and live data, enough for most diagnostics.

What does the orange engine light mean?

An orange check engine light is a stored fault — drive cautiously and scan the code. A flashing light means active misfire: stop driving to protect the catalyst.

Codes vary slightly by model, year and engine. Always confirm with a proper diagnosis. Manufacturer-specific codes (P1xxx/P2xxx) may differ from generic descriptions.
